The perfect morning routine

Having an effective morning routine can set the tone for the day, improve your focus and boost productivity.

Five minute stretch: Stretching increases blood flow and oxygen in your muscles. It helps you wake up and loosen up any tight muscles. Furthermore, it can release endorphins which improves your mood.

Leave your phone alone: Checking your phone immediately after waking up increases your anxiety and stress levels. Wait at least an hour before checking. Ways to do that? Get an alarm clock that is not your phone. Put your phone in a different room. Customise your screen time. Use the “do not disturb” mode or put your phone into airplane mode.

Get sunlight: Open your windows. Let fresh air inside to cleanse your living space. Either get sunlight by going outside or on your balcony or garden etc. Sun exposure in the first 60 minutes after waking up not only enhances your sleep quality but also reduces stress and boosts your mood. 10 to 30 minutes sun exposure is ideal.

Affirmations: Start the day with affirmations and slowly overcome any self-doubt and increase confidence & self worth.
